NSW: Police appeal after business robbed and attacked
SYDNEY, Feb 19 AAP - Police are seeking the public's help to find two men who viciously
attacked a store owner during the armed robbery of a business in western Sydney last month.
The two men assaulted and threatened the 51-year-old male shop owner with knives about
1.45pm (AEDT) on January 2, police said.
They said the pair jumped the counter and attacked the shop owner, leaving him with
serious facial injuries, including severe bruising and permanent scarring.
His 50-year-old wife, 16-year-old daughter and 13-year-old son witnessed the attack
but were not injured.
Both men were described to police as being of Pacific Islander appearance, with the
first one 18-25 years-old, 175cm-185cm tall, solidly built with tanned skin and black
hair.
He was last seen wearing a dark bandana, an orange Everlast-brand singlet, black Adidas-brand
shorts, white shoes and a silver necklace.
The other man was described as being about 20-25 years old and 185-190cm tall, of solid build.
His clothing when last seen was a dark green hat, black sunglasses, black singlet,
dark denim shorts, white shoes and socks.
Fairfield Local Area Commander Superintendent Ray King said investigators wanted the
matter cleared up quickly.
"No family should ever have to witness what these people have seen," Supt King said.
"I am appealing to the community to help us find these two men so we can find out what
they know."
Anyone with information about the men's whereabouts should contact Crime Stoppers on
1800 333 000.
